Esta viagem foi liderada pelo capitĂŁo inglĂȘs James Clark Ross (1800-1862), pelo que a expedição tambĂ©m Ă© conhecida pelo seu nome. The expedition led by H.M.S. Erebus and H.M.S. Terror to the southern lands and seas, also known as the ‘Antarctic Expedition’, became a hallmark in the voyages of discovery, not only due to the remote and dangerous nature of the explored regions, but also thanks to the unparalleled quality and amount of data collected. This voyage was captained by the British James Clark Ross (1800-1862), also named after him.
