We are glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” —John 15:13 Memorial Day is a day we Americans have set aside to honor and remember those who have died in military service. On this day many take time to visit the grave site of a loved one, a friend, or someone who had been meaningful to them in one way or another during his or her lifetime. Perhaps this is the way it should be, but how many will take a few minutes on this special day to remember or even think of the One who gave His life as a ransom for their soul? Nothing else is really as important. We are blessed to be living in a free society. May we honor our American soldiers for the liberty we have in this country. May we also give thanks to Almighty God for the freedom we have to spend eternity with Him because of His gift of forgiveness through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
