route to second-team All-Big West Conference honors ... his 11 saves were 38th in the nation ... did not allow an earned run in 11 consecutive appearances midway through the season (March 17 through April 15) ... named Big West Pitcher of the Week after earning two wins in relief at UC Irvine with six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit ... also pitched three scoreless hitless innings for a save at UC Davis, 3 2/3 innings for a win against Loyola Marymount and 3 1/3 scoreless hitless innings for a save against UCLA ... opponents hit just .197 ... 36 strikeouts over 48 2/3 innings ... earned team's Jim Newkirk Fireman's Award ... combined on pair of shutouts ... did not play summer ball.

2016 -- Pitched in two games, both in relief, as a true freshman ... no decisions ... pitched a third of an inning against both UCLA on Feb. 27 and Santa Clara on April 5 ... played summer ball for Gresham Greywolves in West Coast League, compiling 0-1 record and 3.73 ERA and six saves ... struck out 19 batters over 21 2/3 innings and pitched eight consecutive games without giving up a run late in the season.

High School — A 2015 graduate of Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa, Calif. … as a senior under head coach T.J. McMahon, posted an 8-3 record and 1.53 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 68 2/3 innings … one shutout against Maria Carrillo, a five-hitter … season-high 11 strikeouts agains Ukiah … 13 starts on the mound and 12 others at shortstop, hitting .239 with three doubles, a triple and six RBI … earned first-team All-North Bay League honors and landed on the All-Empire first team … played in Kiwanis All-Star Game, contributing a two-run single for the North Bay League team … Cardinals were 21-6 in 2015 and qualified for the CIF-North Coast Section Division II playoffs … earned first-team All-North Bay League honors as a junior after compiling a 4-1 win-loss record, one save and 1.18 ERA … struck out 27 batters in 35 2/3 innings … selected to play in USA Baseball's 17-Under NorCal National Team Identification Series … also lettered in football as a frshman and sophomore … was recruited by Nevada, San Diego State, Sacramento State and San Francisco, choosing Cal Poly because of its "great baseball program, great academics, great weather and, when I came on my visit, it felt right.
