Jordan Beck completed an outstanding four-year Mustang career in 2004, breaking numerous school records for tackles. In December he was presented with the Buck Buchanan Award, which goes to the best defensive player in NCAA Division I-AA. He played in the 2005 East-West Shrine Game at SBC Park in San Francisco and, in April 2005, he became Cal Poly's highest NFL draftee at the time, chosen in the third round by the Atlanta Falcons. He signed a free-agent contract with the Denver Broncos in October 2007 but was released in 2008.
