Meet our new Bee Keeper

Bees are not new to the club, but they have a new keeper this year, and she is just sixteen years old. Anakena Swan is a second-generation beekeeper, who has been keeping bees since she was 6 years’ old.

Now the torch has been passed from father to daughter, and Anakena with her decade of experience already under her belt, is now in charge of our two hives on the club roof. Last years harvest, which she also assisted with, was a bumper harvest and we are hopeful this year’s production of honey will be as strong again.

The CPC honey will be available for purchase in the fall for $10 per jar.
