PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Welcome to our 75th year! I am honoured to be your incoming president of the Calgary Petroleum Club. We kicked the year off with a strong start welcoming new members, hosting wait-listed events, and experiencing a liveliness and sense of optimism we have not felt since before the COVID-19 pandemic. The resilience of our team has been unprecedented, and it feels good to be coming back in a sound financial position and to see the energy activity at the club.

I want to thank Carey Arnett (Past President) for her dedication, particularly her efforts to grow the CPC’s young professional memberships and enhance our programming. The Board of Governors and our many volunteers through committees and members at large are hard at work, helping to lead and continuously improve the club through innovative programming, including over 140 events per week, and new initiatives within our walls, such as the Legacy Contribution Wall, Pioneer Room, Brew 319 work-bar, Prosecco Pop up Bar and our retail license so you can enjoy our impressive selections from our world-class cellar in the comfort of your own home if you choose. All this while continuing to offer great food and beverage options at the high standards our members enjoy.

As the premier gathering place for the Calgary business community for 75 years, I’d like to recognize you, our valued and loyal members. With you, our club has the thriving organization we have today. Calgary is experiencing significant transformation, and now more than ever, it is important that we honour our club’s legacy while we look to the future and continue to evolve to meet our member’s needs.
Through enhancing offerings to our membership, increasing outreach efforts to build our membership pipeline and incorporating contemporary learning initiatives, we will continue to provide a community where all professionals in and adjacent to our energy sector can connect, network, and learn from one another. The Calgary business community remains vibrant, and I look forward to helping to provide a meeting place where members and guests feel at home.
Over the next several months, members can look forward to many club events, including our annual Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Brunches, the Wellness Luncheon series featuring Dr. Grant Bartlett and a fantastic lineup of Stampede events, including the Doc Walker concert on Friday, July 14. The Board of Governors and the CPC staff warmly welcome you at these events as we begin the journey of our next 75 years. As always, you are encouraged to bring your friends, family, or professional colleagues to these initiatives to share with them all the wonderful things our club has to offer.
Our first 75 years were strong thanks to you, our members. If you have ideas for member events or improvements to our club as we look to the future, please send them to president@calpeteclub.com.
We are in this together, and I am delighted to celebrate turning 75 with you.
Best regards,
Mona
