Section 4 teams that are not yet ready for competition level of State Cup and Far West Regionals. Region IV champions will advance to US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Nationals scheduled to be held in Greenville, SC in July 2014. Cal North State Cup is the highest level of cup competition and is geared toward the top-level competitive teams. Competition is offered in the U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 age groups. In the U9, U10 and U11 age groups teams that are not members of Cal North but are members of other USSF affiliated organizations (i.e. US Club Soccer) may apply. The U9, U10 and U11 teams will participate as part of the Cal North Junior Cup Festival in December. Competitive teams that compete in California Regional League, the Premier or Gold Divisions of CCSL or teams successfully competing at comparable level of play in other Cal North playing leagues should consider applying for Cal North State Cup. Teams from a league or club that fields multiple competitive-level teams in an age group should consider entering State Cup if they are the club’s top-level team in that age group. In the U12-U19 age groups State Cup is a qualifier for the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Cal North State Cup champions in those age groups will go on to represent Cal North in the US Youth Soccer Region IV Championships. Winners of the U-13 through U-19 age groups at the Regional Championships advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, which is widely considered to be the nation’s premier youth soccer event. The Regionals will be held in Albuquerque, NM in June 2014 with the winners advancing to US Youth Soccer National Championships taking place in Germantown, MD in July 2014.
