PHOTOGRAPHY EXPANDED: Distinct Approaches SEP. 30 – NOV. 12, 2017 Explore how photography has changed and flourished in this exhibit that includes several different takes on the medium. A vast range of work from historic and traditional to current trends will expand our idea of what photography is and can be. NIKI DE SAINT PHALLE: Mythical California JAN. 13 – MAR. 4, 2018 Internationally known mosaic artist, Niki de Saint Phalle, created larger than life works of arts about the myths and legends of California. This exhibition examines the process of constructing Escondido’s monumental sculpture garden, Queen Califia’s Magical Circle, and celebrates its fifteen year anniversary. CAMPUS CREATIVES: From the Classroom to the Museum APR. 7 – MAY 13, 2018 Visual Art Department Faculty, teaching at the college level in San Diego County, will showcase newer works of all media. This juried exhibition will underscore their talents and highlights our County’s strength in art education, giving faculty a chance to present how they practice what they teach.
