Are You Covered? Coverage Considerations for JPA’s and School Districts Location: South Shore, Harrah’s School districts need to be certain that they have considered all aspects of their property and liability exposures when discussing coverage options with their coverage and/or insurance provider. Beyond the basic coverage provided for damage to physical structures and liabilities related to bodily injury, property damage and personal injury claims, consideration must now be given for risks related to active shooter, cyber, special education and terrorism liability exposures. How to Navigate ACA Reporting Compliance in a Risk Pool Location: Flying Cloud, Lake Tahoe Resort Complying with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting requirements bring different challenges to employers and plan sponsors. In risk pool situations, the plan and the employer may find they have differing expectations of their roles and responsibilities. Who will supply data, and who will be able to access it? Who is responsible for the review and accuracy of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filings? Failing to understand the answers to these questions could trigger an IRS Employer Shared Responsibility Payment letter, resulting in frustration and anxiety. In this session, we will explore best practices for managing this complex relationship, including data access, meeting timelines, and information verification. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding what you (and your plan) are accountable for, as well as an up-to-date review of recent legal and legislative ACA news. During this engaging and informative session, you will: • Learn how to comply with the ACA as a pool member • Understand what your plan will be able to do • Discover what you need to know about the current state of the law
