In 1997 División Hostelera was born, running its own cafeterias in the city of Alicante and its surroundings. In 2007 and owning 9 coffee shops, Sureste Productos Hosteleros was born, making its debut in the roasted coffee market with its own brand, roasted by a third one.
It was only one year since then when we bought our own roasting facilities in the industrial area of “La Escandella”, in the city of Agost, (Alicante). That took us to India and Colombia to make sure we could buy the best green coffee, handling from then on, the whole process, from the plantation, to the roasting and packaging with different blends and origins. With a recent presence in the coffee market, but years of experience managing coffee shops and bars, our client list is constantly growing, simultaneously to our coffee production that, right now, goes over 30.000 Kgs./month. This is due to a constant and serious prospection work by Sureste’s professional commercial team. Our products have already gone over our borders. Thanks to a promotional task in Europe and beyond, together with Alicante’s Chamber of Commerce, Export Institute of Valencia, (IVEX), and Foreign Trade Institute, (ICEX), Café Burdet is present in England, Germany, Canada, USA, Russia, China, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Lithuania and Dubai as well as in several supermarkets in Spain.

Indian coffee, among the most extraordinary of beverages, offers intriguing subtlety and stimulating intensity. Coffee production in India is dominated in the mountainous areas of Southern Indian, with the state of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu which are ideally suited for growing Arabicas of mild quality. Indian Coffee is said to be the best coffee grown under shade and not direct sunlight. Typically mild and not too acidic, these coffees possess an exotic full – bodied taste and a fine aroma. There approximately 250,000 producers in India, 98 % are small farmers.
