Gestures for AutoCAD and Revit

Gestures help effectively control application and great replacement for keyboard shortcuts. If you try gestures, you can use free hand to enter distance values or drink a cup of tea. Moreover, there is a possibility to set one gesture for several tools (commands) in the different applications (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, …). WARNING: Gestures are highly addictive.
Print the list of gestures before first use in your project. You can no longer need it, when you finish your first project with gestures. TIP: Gestures application on your USB flash drive might become handy whenever being away off your native computer.
Gestures setup 1. Download and install application for gestures StrokesPlus (www.strokesplus.com). 2. Copy and replace file StrokesPlus.xml in folder StrokePlus (folder is stored in user files (e.g.: C:\Users\User XYZ\AppData\Roaming\StrokesPlus). 3. Restart application StrokePlus.
AutoCAD setup It’s not necessary to make any additional settings in AutoCAD.
Revit setup To take advantage of full functionality (all gestures working) it is necessary to import keyboard shortcuts to Revit from file KeyboardShortcuts_Revit_CC.xml (ribbon View – User Interface – Keyboard Shortcuts). When importing file, use option Merge with existing Shortcut settings.
