Financial Outlook •

Thanks to careful management of limited resources, CACHC recorded its fourth consecutive annual surplus. Being added to CACHC’s operating reserves.

CACHC has reached capacity limits with current staffing levels (2 staff: Executive Director = 0.8 FTE, Admin Coordinator = 0.6 FTE).

The CACHC Board has agreed to draw from operating reserves to fund important policy/advocacy work for CHCs in 2018-19, focused on our core priority areas, and in lead up to federal election.

Sustaining and growing membership is essential to our capacity and potential achievements with/for CHCs and communities we serve over the coming years, especially heading into critical federal election year.

We continue to search for revenue diversification opportunities, but strongly appeal to CHCs that are not yet members to join CACHC and become part of the national and international CHC movements.

Membership / Engagement See Current Members: https://www.cachc.ca/ourmembers •

When the Canadian Association of Community Health Centres was launched in 2012, the CHC movement across Canada had become quite fragmented, with a large proportion of CHCs in different provinces working in isolation.

Single greatest area of focus for CACHC from 2012 to 2017 has been on reengaging CHCs and building a more connected and collaborative CHC movement across the country. This is an essential precondition to evolve our work in the areas of knowledge-exchange, research/evaluation, policy and advocacy across Canada.

The consistent growth and diversification of CACHC’s membership from 2012- to 2017 is an encouraging sign of our collective development as a Canadian CHC movement.
