Summer Outreach Team The RIAC Summer Outreach Team will: -­‐ -­‐ -­‐ -­‐

distribute promotional materials at key locations around the city be the core of RIAC’s presence at summer festivals and events assist the Projects Coordinator in seeking promotional opportunities recruit for and advertise upcoming Fall projects

We are looking for people: -­‐ -­‐ -­‐ -­‐

with lots of energy and enthusiasm who want to increase RIAC’s presence in the community that are comfortable attracting attention and approaching the public who can commit at least 1-­‐2 hours a week for the rest of the summer

Why should you apply? As part of the Summer Outreach Team, you can expect: -­‐ -­‐ -­‐ -­‐ -­‐ -­‐

meaningful and consistent summer volunteer work to get your foot in the door of the professional non-­‐profit network in St. John’s a great summer of engaging the public at festivals and events to build skills in outreach and promotional work to enhance your personal resume and references the opportunity for a continued placement in the Fall

Successful applicants will: -­‐ -­‐ -­‐

be well described by the characteristics described above be at least 18 years of age not be out of the province for more than 10 days before September 15th.

No previous experience with refugee or immigrant issues is required. Access to personal transportation is an asset. Interested candidates are asked to send an email to Anna Smith at projects@riac.ca by Friday, July 15th.
