THE FUTURE LO OKS BRIGHT Eden is riding the wave of significantly increased popularity as a result of greater domestic travel, making it a wonderful destination to live, holiday or invest. The area is being boosted by $200 million worth of Federal, State and Local Government spending on major projects, including the new international cruise terminal. Once complete, this $44 million upgrade of Eden Wharf will become a major attraction in its own right and will be able to accommodate larger cruise ships, significantly enhancing local tourism and creating local jobs.

Designed by award-winning architectural firm Cox, the new Eden Welcome Centre will be located on the fisherman’s co-op site, facilitating the movement of more than 100,000 cruise passengers annually.

Celebrating the town’s main industries of fishing, forestry and tourism, the building is intended to act as a symbol of Eden’s past

and its future. Additionally, the Eden Port Connectivity Upgrade project aims to improve the connectivity of Eden Port to the Princes Highway.

The Department of Regional NSW is set to make a substantial investment in the region by providing $7.1 million to build the first 36 kilometre stretch of the Bundian Way walking track from Jiggamy Farm to Fisheries Beach. The cultural and natural environment experience delivered by the project will be an incredibly valuable asset, attracting visitors from both domestic and international markets.

A further $2.9 million has been secured for the Jiggamy campground near Pambula Lake to enable tourists to experience indigenous culture.
