KING Cake Shots & Parade time cocktails

T

he KING CAKE SHOTS replicate all the taste of a traditional King Cake. A cake-flavored vodka forms the base of the cocktail and a cream liqueur gives it a luscious mouthfeel. The shooters are poured into shot glasses rimmed with gold, green, and purple sugars for a festive and colorful touch. To make them even more irresistible, each one is topped with whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg. Enjoy & Happy Mardi Gras!

Gold, green, and purple sprinkle sugar, for rimming 1 1/2 ounces Irish cream liqueur, plus more for rimming 1 1/2 ounces cake vodka 1 1/2 ounces cinnamon schnapps Whipped cream, for garnish Ground nutmeg, for garnish

Rim the glasses with sugar, dip the rim of 1 shot glass in a shallow dish of the cream liqueur. Let the excess drip off while the glass is still upside down. Quickly dip the wet edge of the glass in a dish of the colored sugar. Ensure you get a nice, even coat all the way around. Tap off any excess sugar. Repeat with 2 more shot glasses. In a cocktail shaker, pour the vodka, cream liqueur, and cinnamon schnapps. Fill with ice and shake well. Strain into the prepared shot glasses. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground nutmeg. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Gold, green, and purple sprinkle sugar, for rimming 2 ounces of King Cake Vodka (or use 2 ounces vanillaflavored vodka plus 2 drops almond extract) 1/2 ounce of Grand Marnier 1/2 ounce of Baileys Irish Cream Ground Cinnamon, for garnish

Put a small pile each of green, purple, and gold sanding sugar on a plate, keeping them separate. Moisten the rim of a martini glass, then press part of the rim into each colored sugar. Combine the vodka, Grand Marnier and Baileys in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well, then strain into the prepared glass. Dust with cinnamon.
