National Honor Society Application Essay Examples

As a result of my catholic faith, I have always been entitled to creating the best version of myself. I expect myself to always complete everything I endeavor to the best of my ability. I admire my determination, work ethic, and passion immensely, and I yearn to provide others with that same incentive. Each Sunday, I leave church with inspired to try to make a difference in someone's life that day. Currently, by devoting my time to community services through National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society–to which I am a Co–President of–I am able to spread warmth to others. However, in the future, I imagine myself doing so as a secondary art education teacher. A goal of mine is to make art exciting, the reason why students attend school. I plan to enter work each day inspiring others to smile. I want to provide unlimited comfort, guidance, and motivation to students. My catholic faith has taught me to continue helping others even if they appear as if they do not want it, and Link Crew, a selective student ambassador program, has shown me how to go about accomplishing this. I am not afraid to step outside of my comfort zone and step up to be a leader. Therefore, I have confidence in accomplishing all I endeavor as an educator. My faith has allowed me to believe that miracles happen to good people despite other's doubts; therefore, I believe if I try my best, I can succeed. To showcase my skills and potential, I yearn to sell my art in markets, take pictures at various events, and create customized accessories and commissioned pieces. How hard one work shows a lot about their character, especially when no one is watching. Joining Honor societies such as the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and Rho– Kappa helped shape my character as a leader. Becoming the Vice President of the International Club made me realize that having a lot of responsibility gives you the opportunity to explore your knowledge and leadership skills. I was responsible for planning and hosting meetings, managing the activities, and hosting the club's "International Dinner" every year. After getting the experience of the vice president, I received an opportunity to become president of the Science National Honor Society. First, I felt like I wasn't the right candidate for this position because I felt like no one would take me seriously because most of the people in the society didn't really know me, but looking back at what I was able to achieve it made me realize that nothing is impossible to achieve: just have to have the potential to do it. Keeping that in mind; I took the position of the president. As I started to let myself just go for it. It automatically boosted my self–esteem.
