National Honor Society Essay Examples

As a sophomore, I am honored to be among the few students that have been granted the opportunity to be involved in the National Honor Society. I have many core values, that I feel qualify me as a leader in regards to my service to others and academic success. I feel that my commitment to studies and my community have helped me prove my character. As a Varsity tennis player, Class president, and an active member of my community, I manage to keep 3.9 GPA. As a tennis player, I have to possess confidence, authority, and honesty. During a match, I have to make the calls on whether a ball is in or out. I do not drink, smoke, or go out to parties. I have a set time that I go to bed for myself so that I can be well rested for school. I make sure that I finish my homework at home, not before class, and I help out my community the best that I can. I do all of this is so that I can keep up my high standing in my town. I committed myself to my town. I sing the national anthem at the memorial day service, I lay flags and pick them up with the veterans, I am also very active in my church. All of this leads back to my academic success, because without my family and friends I would not have the qualities I have now. My mother and father have taught me to be a great leader and to focus on my goals, and being a part of the NHS has been a goal of mine since the seventh grade. National Honor Society

I am genuinely honored to be apart of the small group of students who have a chance at this honor. After looking at the four pillars of Honor society I believe that I belong to this organization to help my community and school become a better place as a member of the national honor Society. My academic performance throughout my high school career are just one of the reasons I should be on national honors society. Ever since 6th grade I have been on the A honor roll for my academic excellence. However while maintaining a 3.85 GPA I have also been involved in my schools clubs and activities. The past 4 years I have been involved in girls volleyball and varsity golf, also for the past three years I have been involved in weightlifting and faith club at NPHS. Furthermore this past year I have been taking four PSEO credits at normandale while taking five classes at the high school. While I was there I was awarded squadron leader and was given the job of watching 10 other individual perform and succeed at the tasks and missions we had to complete every day.
