“Going into my last year of high school I did not know how I was going to afford school. This scholarship took a weight off my shoulders. I plan to go into the firefighting and/or EMT field. I feel this is a great way to give back to the community that made me who I am today. Thank you for this wonderful blessing.”

– Zack E., Fire Science major, James E. Perry & Donelda M. Brown Vocational Scholarship recipient

“I cannot thank you enough for giving me this opportunity. I am majoring in cybersecurity to help protect America from cyber-attacks and more. After Butler, I will enroll at Wichita State to complete my bachelor’s in cybersecurity. I will become a security analyst for Google.”

“I chose this major to learn about construction & hopefully start a small construction business with my husband. I have been married for almost 14 years & I am a mom of five. I know I am older, but it’s never too late to change the course of your future. I want my children to be proud of me and for them to see that if you work hard for it you can accomplish things.”

– Krissia T., Construction Technology Major, AT&T Foundation Scholarship recipient

“There are no words to express my gratitude for this gift. This scholarship will help me pay for my schooling & continue my pursuit of a nursing degree so I am able to provide compassionate care to those in need. After graduation, I will continue my education to obtain my BSN & after that, I plan to pursue a career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.”

– Jonathan S., Nursing major, Mark D. & Vera Frances White Presidential Memorial Scholarship recipient
