Veteran's Day Luncheon NCU hosted the annual Veteran’s Day Luncheon for students, staff, faculty and alumni who have an affiliation with any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, past or present. Rev. Fr. Jonathan K. Landon, chaplain and 28-year Army veteran, hosted the luncheon and spoke in chapel.

Largest Freshman Class Enrolls NCU’s largest freshman class in history started classes this August. The incoming class boasts 113 students, 38% of whom are from outside of Oregon. The class also includes students from 8 foreign countries. Total NCU enrollment is just over 800 including graduate and adult degree students.

International Student Thanksgiving in the MEC Over 270 international students and guests from NCU, University of Oregon and Lane Community College gathered for a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner in the Morse Event Center. NCU and LCC staff and faculty, community members and local churches helped prepare the meal.

NCU Hosts Latino Professionals Connect Latino business leaders in Lane County gathered on campus in order collaborate and network with one another. NCU staff and faculty shared about the University’s mission and vision. The Latino Professionals Connect (PLC) group is based in Eugene, Oregon.

Alumni Attend 50th Class Reunion Members of the classes of 1968, 1969 and 1970 returned to campus for a joint celebration of their Golden Anniversary. The Class of 1969 served as the event host and nearly 40 alumni enjoyed a weekend of fellowship, friendship and worship.

NCU Partners with Generosity Feeds Dozens of NCU students and staff volunteered at a Generosity Feeds packing event at Bertha Holt Elementary School, a day of food preparation for local community members who may be experiencing hunger and food insecurity.
