Grade 100 Chain Sling Assemblies
Bullivants Chain Slings provide various use for industrial and construction applications. These are temperature resistant, and strong enough to handle a wide array of loading conditions.
Features & Benefits:
• Shortening Hooks are supplied with the chain sling allowing versatility in the length required for the lifting application
• Supplied with 100% rated, Grade 100, grab hooks, self-locking hooks and Gunnebo chain
• 25% stronger than Grade 80 allowing the chain size to reduce to lift the same job
• High impact resistance and durability when compared to Grade 80
• High abrasion resistance Alloy Steel suitable for lifting objects with sharp edges which are known to damage other sling types
• Very high chemical resistance for extended product life in harsh environments
• Full working load capacity up to 200°C enables use in hot work environments (200-300ºC at 10% reduction in WLL & 300-400ºC at 25% reduction in WLL)
• Reeved slings and basket slings in a two leg configuration have a maximum angle of 60°
• Determination of the angle of the multi leg sling is the largest included angle at the apex of the configuration
• Complies with AS 3775.2:2014

Effective Length:
All Bullivants slings are measured as ‘effective length’. This measurement is the length of the sling including components measured from the load bearing point. Example: from where the master link attaches to the lifting device to the load bearing point of the hook on the lower end.

Technical:
All multi-leg slings exert a horizontal component of force, which increases as the included angle becomes greater. DO NOT use a sling if the included angle exceeds 120º, as beyond this point the forces in the legs drastically increase, as indicated in the diagram

Delivering improved safety features, wear indicators and higher working load limit all at a full chain diameter smaller than GR 80 systems ensures that RUD ICE 120 is the most superior chain system available on the world market today. Combined with improvements in tensioning, connecting and shortening, ICE 120 significantly reduces manual handling risks.

Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) provides full traceability throughout the life of the product
RUD - the first chain manufacturer with approval of Grade 120
RUD received from the responsible employer´s insurance association (BG Metall Nord Süd) as first chain manufacturer the permittance stamp “D” for round steel link chains in the quality grade 120.
Every ICE chain and component is marked with the stamp D1 – 12.
The BG Metal and surface treatment Technical Committee have tested and issued – Test certificate PZNM.
Patented Heat Indicator
In high temperature environments, the special fluorescent ICE powder coating permanently changes its colour. Above 300°C the colour changes permanently to black and the chain assembly should be taken out of service (see picture right).
