frlcgic Words-lteoning Economy

"Strappack" "Bagpack" "Shakepack" are the magic words in NRLDA's IDEAS IN ACTION show, scheduled for November 4 through 7 at McCormick Place, Chicago.

Nor are the words as "far out" as they sound. They are, in fact, the essence of economy in mechanized loading and handling of lumber shipments as developed by the Hallinan Lumber Company of Portland, Oregon.

Every dealer unloading six cars per month cannot afford to miss this thought-provoking Modern Merchandising exhibit qThere full size units of packaged lumber, plus scale model yard unloading operations will be featured.

INTRODUCING "BAGPACK" , . . Hollincn Lumber Compony of podlond. Economy keynotes the exhibit-economy of motion, plus a basic money economy, since pre-tallied, pre-banded paper-bagged lumber units can be unloaded for only l5c per thousand.

Hallinan Lumber Company will also demonstrate the palletizing of red cedar shakes and actual carloads and yard inveniories wiii be on display at the all day tour as planned bi NRLDA. The new fiqure 68 and proposed 6C flat car loads can be seen at a prominent Chicago yard,, along with "strappack,' lumber units shown as they arrive in double door box cars.

This "Idea in Action" is a must-see for those yards planning to remodel for mechanical handling, for Hallinan Lumbei Compiny, manufacturers and marketers, are considered outstanding in the fleid of packaged lumber shipment.

Miniature,"Bagpack" samples will be given away at the Hallinan booth, and "Miss Hallinan" will award an exciting grand prize at the show's conclusion.
