Phillip S. Hill Appoinred President of Hyster Compony

Philip S. Hill has been named president of Hyster Company, succeeding Earnest G. Swigert.

The action, came at a meeting of the Board of Directors August 7. Swigert was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and chief executive officer of the company.

The board at same time named Harvey N. Black as Senior Vice President. Black, who has previously been a vice president of the company, will also continue as Secretary and Treasurer.

Hill's appointment as President climaxes his 28-year career with Hyster Company. He had been Executive Vice-President since 1956. Hill is prominent in the heavy machinery and material handling industries, and is currently serving his second term as president of the Industrial Truck Association.

Swigerthad been Hyster's Company president since the firm was founded in 1929. He has been active in the National Association of Manufacturers, and was president of that organization in 1957.
