The fast-growing Economy organization (CLM 6/l/56) was established in 1948 by Hackard, Owens and George Fuller. Hackard and Owens purchased Fuller's interest in the business in 1950.

Congress Votes to Repeol Freight Tox
Both Houses of the Congress approved repeal of. the 3/o tax on the transportation of property June26, but the House refused to go along with the Senate on repeal of the tax on transportation of passengers. The bill now must clear the President before it becomes law.
