THE IMPORTANCE of selling the wife on home improvements and her influ- in initiating home improvement plojects were brought out in a survey now

,available from McCalXs magazine through the National Home Improvement Council.

The booklet tabulates a questionnaire survey by McCalXs of some 600 registrants (builders, dealers, remodelers, etc.) at an

NAHB remodeling workshop. The summary of the survey findings is interesting to those in home improvement in that it shows where and why this group of remodelers aimed its sales efforts for maximum return.

SU,I,IMARY OF FINDINGS

One out of every three respondents is a general contractor. One out of four is a builder and IO.3/o are builders and eontractors.
