(-r REAT weather greeted golfers and \J fi.h".*"n during the mid-September prelude to our fifth annual All Industry Marketing Conference, Salishan Lodge, Ore. More than 70 men and 30 women played golf ; almost 20 fished on Depoe B"y.

Ed Cunningham took the prize for the super-long drive of the d"y. His ball lodged in a trailer en route to Alaska!

Men's golf awards went to Frank Coen, low net-handicap; Bill Sobo, low net-Calloway; Clint Spear, low gross.

Other special feats won prizes for Woody Anderson, closest topin; Moe Moyer, Iong drive; John Slothower, short drive; Matt Mattson took first prize for putting; Cam Kyle, second and Stew Orr, third.

Those winning golf balls for birdies were Phil Bowman, Zack Brandon, Ed Cunningham, Cam Kyle, Russ Long, Moe Moyer, Bob Olson, Woody Railey and Bill Sobo.

The womenos golf tourney produced these award winners: Barbara Kyle, lowest score; Norma Slothower, low net; Frances Hylando second low net; Gladys Mattson, closest to pin; Frances Hyland, longest drive.

The day was wonderful for fishing but the salmon had apparently migrated to other grounds. Rozanne Beil won the trophy by catching the only salmon of the day. Nellie Higgins caught the most fish (other than salmon), and Felix Johnson the biggest fish, a cod. AII three were awarded raincoats as prizes.

The drowing of golfers at the first tee following the dinner, Sept. 16, with WBMA's newly acquired TV production equipment was highly entertaining, at least to the golfers. Although many golfers are un' doubtedly going to do some practicing af' ter seeing themselves on TV, this was only a demonstration of the equipment which will be used primarily for industry educa' tional programs. It was a good test of its versatility and it will be an effective tool in developing future programs.
