All domestic hardwoods as well as more common imPorted hardwoods are inventoried. The comPanY is known as a variety store among hardwood wholesalers. They maintain inventories of hard-to-find items such as 3" and 4" birch, hard eastern maple, ash, oak, teak, basswood, poplar and mahogany. Other species such as butternut, hickory, willow, rift and quarter red and white oak, chestnut, gum, cherrY and beech are carried in plentiful supply to complement the more popular species such as red and white oak, PoPlar, walnut, alder, basswood, hard eastern maple' ash, birch, apitong and mahoganY in I " through 2". The companY had a significant part in developing the Philippine import business, especially in mahogany.

They also handle uPPer grades in softwoods such as C & better Douglas fir, spruce, redwood, all grades of pine and all species of cedar including Alaskan yellow. TheY continue to operate a full line mill including moulders as they have for 60 Years.

Hardwood experts have been known to say "If they don't have it, it probably doesn't exist." All agree that it was a good daY for the Pacific Coast hardwood industrY when the Taenzers decided to go West.

Martin R. Bocola, former senior v.p. operations at Builders Emporium, Irvine, Ca., has joined Grossman's, San Carlos, Ca., as v.p. operations. Bob Bruner, gen. merchandise mgr., is now v.p. gen. merchandise mgr. John Rowan and Dan Madden Jr. are new at Concannon Lumber Co.. Portland, Or.

Duncan Hossack is now assistant gen. mgr./sales mgr. at Mallco Lumber & Building Materials, Phoenix, Az., according to Mike O'Malley, pres. and gen. mgr. He is being succeeded as gen. mgr. at O'Malley Building Materials in Tempe by Don Hossack. Doug McCullough is the new mgr. at the Mesa O'Malley Building Materials.

Dennis Richardson, South Bay Forest Products, Orange, Ca., is back at work after a 3 week convalescence from surgery.
