Veteran Hardware Show Ends
Co-sponsors International Hardware Distributors Association and American Hardware Manufacturers Association are ending the 96-yearold Hardware Industry Convention.
Upon hearing IHPA would not participate in the March 1999 show set for San Diego, Ca., disgruntled AHMA pulled out of the March 1998 convention in Marco Island, Fl., saying it would be "a non-productive, lame-duck type" meeting.
Change At Terry Companies
Tom Mullin, president of The Terry Companies, Tarzana, Ca., is stepping aside due to health reasons and has named Lonnie Schield as the new president of the company.
In a joint statement issued with his father, Terry Mullin, Tom Mullin said the move was looking "to the future by putting in place today the leadership necessary to ensure the continued growth and development of our companies."
