Gerald Fidgar "Jerry" [,ssley, 76, president of the former D.C. Essley & Son, Montebello, (1a., died of cancer Aug. 10, 1991, in Newport Beach. Ca.

Born in Whittier, Ca., Mr. [:ssley closed the 50-year-old redwood company when he retired in 1986. He was a past president of the Los Aneeles Hoo-Hoo Club.
