1.7E Header: An economical choice where high design values are not required. 1.78 Headers go in straight and withstand the elements better than LSL or solid sawn timber.

Sam Sanregret, former division mgr., Healdsburg, Ca., has relocated to Capital Lumber Co.'s corporate offices in Phoenix, Az., to begin transitioning into his new role as president, effective January 1,2004. He will succeed John Gaskin, who plans to retire at year's end, but will remain active as chairman of the board. Asa Johnson, ex-Pluswood, and LeeRoy Montoya, ex-Sagebrush Sales, are new account mgrs. for Capital's Denver, Co., and Albuquerque, N.M., offices, respectively.

Bob Palacioz, ex-Pacific Wood Preserving, has joined Thunderbolt Wood Treating, Sacramento, Ca., as regional sales mgr.

Tim Todd was promoted to sales mgr. at Taiga Forest Products, Rocklin, Ca.

Jack Butler, ex-Capital Lumber, has joined the Southern California sales team at California Cascade Industries, Woodland, Ca.

John Lyda has joined Sunset Forest Products, Beaverton, Or., as executive v.p. of southern yellow pine purchasing. Tom Dittrick is new as executive v.p. of hem-fir purchasing.

Phil Schumach was named sales mgr. at McFarland Cascade, Tacoma, Wa.

Mike Morehouse, executive v.p., Lanoga Corp., Redmond, Wa., has retired after 32 years in the industry, the last 17 with Lanoga. George Finkenstaedt, v.p. of market development, has added environmental and Lanoga Purchasing Council responsibilities and is relocating to Redmond from Chicago. Frank Perry, ex-Builders FirstSource, has joined Lanoga as v.p. of human resources. Peggy Anderson has been promoted to director of internal audit and assistant secretary.

Gary Tragesser, v.p.-marketing, Bennett Lumber Products, Princeton, Id., retired Aug. 1 after 24 years with the firm. Jim Vandegrift is now sales mgr.
