The facilities of Wall Dry Kiln Co., Long Beach, Ca., have been restructured into a "condominium lumber company," now housing seven different wholesale lumber firms.

Renamed Wall Investments, the company's dry kiln structures have been converted to warehouses. Several lumber sheds and office buildings have been built.

The tenants include Autumn Milling' Buchanan Hardwood, Columbia CitY Industries, Holmes & Co., Johnston Hardwoods, C.E. Jordan Hardwood and Sumwood. Inc.

"Increased fuel costs and overseas competition made this the wise way to go," said Bob Wall, co-owner with brother Charles.

"Our plans are to continue in real estate investment, which we've done in the past on the side. Wall Dry Kiln Co' was the base that made this operation possible. It's been very lucrative and when the proper time and location arise, we'll do it again," he said.

Another lumber shed is under construction. Additional land is available for expansion.

Posts, poles, pilings, timber, crossarms, grapestakes, dimension lumber.
