Mendocino Wood Specialties was formed in June of 1998, a new name but with 20 years' experience in the treating business. We're committed to being an asset to our customers. our communities and our employees.

Mendocino Wood Specialties pressure treated products include 2x4 thru 2x72, 4x4 and 4x6 and peeler cores. All treated products are stored under cover Our treating cylinder is 7' in diameter and 98' lons and treats 22 thousand board t'eet / per charge. The plant's EPA certified drip pad can store up to 350,000 board feet of lumber. The entire treatins process is computer controlled. The plant has four work tanks, an effluent water tank and a chemical concentrate tank.

The treating plant is part of a complex that includes a sawmill, planer mill, dry kilns, rail spur, fence line, covered boxcar loading spur, maintenance shop and air dry yards.

We operate a state-of-the-art facility that meets or exceeds all state and federal standards and regulations.
