rFHE Arizona Retail Lumber and BuildI ers Supply Association is holding their ,l{tth annuai convention at the Stardust Hotel in Yuma, MaY 1-3.
The 1969 convention is designed to give its members tools to do a better job of running their business with a theme-The 'cd lv['s"-1\4anagement, Money, Marketing, Machinery. The business program is May 2-3 with the following:
Keynoter Iohn Wolle, internationally famous lecturer and sales consultant will kickoff the convention at the first busi' ness sessicn breakfast at 8:00 a.m. His sub' ject: "Sell Like An Ac.e, Live Like a King." lohn Slothower, national service man' ager for Georgia Pacific Corp. He will be at the second business session, 2:30 p.m. May 2. IIis subject: "Changing Times in Building Material Retailing."
I. E. Smith, general manager of person' nel relations for Armstrong Cork Co. Hir' ing and keeping people in our industry is vital. He will be at the second business session Friday. His subject: o'Sales Man' power Development."
Robert tones, exec. vp., Middle Atlantic Lumbermens Association. He is one of the top men in the iield of profit manage- ment. He will conduct a seminar at B:Oi' a.m. Saturday, May 3. His subject: "Prir' ciples of Profit Mangement."
Cattett Robert, is America's top speaker in the field of human engineering and mo' tivation and will speak on the subjeet "Human Engineering and Motivation."
A special panel will discuss "The Lu: ber and Plywood Price Problem"' l0:i a.m. Friday. The moderator will be Ja1 O'Malley, O'Malley Companies, Phoenix The panel will be: Ed Banker, Georgia Pa' cific Corp.; Carl Bastiann Weyerhauser Co.; Ken Thompson, Southwest Forest Industries; Mike Medigovitch, Cottonwood Lumber; Dean Drake, The O'Malley Com' panies.
Thursday May I is FUN DAY and' the Annual Lumbermen's Golf Tournament is being held at the Yuma Country Club.
A full slate of social events are planned: Thursday, May I at 6:30 P.m. Cocktail hou. arri barbecue. Friday, 5:30, a Mexi' can tour to San Luis, Mexico, including dinner. Sa.turday, 6:30 p.m. Cocktail hour and the annual banquet. For the ladies, a Iuncheon and style show is scheduled for Friday noon.
