fF continual streamlining is the sign of a r healthy, progressive organization, and you better believe it is, then the Western Building Material Association, which only two years ago changed its name to better reflect its members' functions, has done it again.

This time they made sweeping organizational changes to equip WBMA to function even more smoothly in the seventies. In a massive move to specialization, they unanimously passed new byJaws that allow management to be done thru management committees. Basic control of WBMA, however, remains at the grass roots level as directors from the various levels are still elected.

A major efiect will be the use of specialists in the vital areas of (1) legislation

(2) education (3) group insurance and pension. The association will also coordinate with industry specialists in accounting, credits, collections, store planning, remodeling, merchandising and others.

Ladies' nite

hESPITE the inclement weather which IJ 6", beleaeured California for months the redoJbtable members of Oakland Hoo Hoo Club $39 entertained their ladies at a delightful dinner dance during February at the beautiful Castlewood Country Club near Pleasanton. It is the former ranch residence of William Randolph Hearst.

The fifty members and guests enjoyed a delicious dinner accompanied by wine following the social cocktail hours.

The officers and committee who so ably prepared and managed the afiair were Ralph Boshion, John Pearson, Jack Koepf, Bob Brynjulson, Dave Jopes, Al Mury, Manuel Lavrador, Frank Timmers, Ron Delisle, Vic Roth, Dwight Curran, Bob MacFie and Bill Johnson.
