Tooth'n Nail

A reciprocating blade designed to cut through wood and most metals is now available from Magna Industrial Tool Co.

Progressive Tooth cuts fast and its unique "three-blades-in-one" design eliminates blade changes. For example, when cutting sheet metal and thin wood, only the blade's "fine" teeth section is used, leaving the "coarse" and "tip" sections unscathed.

The product is available in three SKU's and sold in pouches of five.

Facility Not For Sale

Fremont has received many complimentary phone calls and notes regarding the recent expansion of our Port of long Beach wood products terminal, which they read about in your magazine.

However, some have been concerned that, at age 75, I might be ready to retire and might sell the business and/or the lease.

I might retire in two to three years, maybe even in six months; however, Fremont is not for sale because it has a very valuable 4O-year lease for l8 all paved, contiguous, and fenced acres surrounding Pier 122 in the Port of Long Beach. The lease only allows for custom handling of lumber, wood products and construction materials, and the Port cannot cancel our lease or move us to another location.

Additionally, we have recently doubled the size of our facility, added experienced personnel and purchased six new all-weather Hyster lifts. Fremont is now the largest tully intermodal (ship, barge, rail and T&T) forcst products custom handling terminal in southern California. We can efficiently custom handle any additional volume.

Of even greater importance to me is my desire to continue the business after my retirement for the mutual benefit of Fremont's customers and its cunent key employees, Jim Salo and Alex Delgado, who have competently and loyally performed for Fremont during the past 20 years.
