He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Verna Gerber and three sons.

Dr. Walter Paul Ericks, 69, retired vice president and director of research of The Upson Company, manufactuxeer of laminated fibreboard products, died Dec. 7, following a brief illness. He was graduated from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, with a deglee in chemical engineering and later from the University of Buffalo where he earned the degree of M.A. and Ph.D. in Chemistry.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs, Margaretha Smith Ericks, a daughtef Mrs. Wallace Wolff, and two grandsons.
