Two new repair products for popcorn-textured ceilings have been introduced by Bondex International.

Thick-bodied Ready-Mix Popcorn Ceiling Finish enhances the acoustical properties of ceilings and hides surface cracks and imperfections. It is applied with a ll4" or 3/8" nap paint roller and cleans up with soap and water.

Mobile Motorized Miter Box

It reportedly reproduces the rich subtleties ofclear, vertical grain cedar siding, while providing long-lasting durability, virtually no maintenance and about half the cost of premium wood siding.

For optimum weatherability and resistance to damage, the color and pattern are integral to the siding panel, not added on as a laminate. Five colors are available.

The RCT Cornersealing System consists of a cornergrooving tool and a series of state-of-the-art silicone rubber weatherseals. The tool features a quality router motor mounted in a ligbtweight, machined aluminum body coated with a nylon finish. It uses a spiral router bit to cut a continuous 45K groove in the corner of all sides of the door or window jamb.

The tool's nose shields the bit for safetv. Its handle design keeps thecord. out of the way and eniures the optimal pressure angle. A small-diameter, crush-resisant vacuum hose threads directly into the hollow base for efficient chip removal and an unintemrpted line of sight.

Five different sizes of thin-wall silicone rubber weatherseals are available to sed gaps from 0 to 3/8". Their friction-foot design holds the seals tightly yet allows removal for painting. The weatherseal is also ideal for sound control on interior doors.

Willamette Producing EWP

Early next year Willamette Industries will begin production for the first time of engineered wood products by its Southern division, Ruston, La.

The company is applying finishing touches ro a new glulam manufacturing plant in Simsboro, La., anticipating beginning production in late January. With a 1M,000 sq. ft. main building plus a shed for finished goods, the facility will produce beans np to 72 ft. long. Jim Weber is plant manager.

Willamette is also clearing a200-acre site in nearby Arcadia to construct an OSB plant, expected to start up in first quarter 19!)6. They hope to eventually add plants o produce laminated veneer lumber, I-joists and other engineered wood products in the area.

The operations will be overseen by Mike Hunsaker, previously with glulam producer Bohemia Inc., Eugene, Or., which was acquired by Willamette three years ago. He has transferred from the West's Engineered Wood Products division, Saginaw, Or., to Ruston as sales manager-engineered wood products.
