l' Material Dealers Association unveiled an aggressive new lobbying strategy at its 73rd annual convention and buying show Sept. 16-18 at Marriott's World Center, Orlando, Fl.

Effective Jan. 1., Terry Jalbert director-meetings & publications, will serve as asst. executive v.p., allowing exec. v.p. Bill Carson to spend more time in state capital Tallahassee while the legislature is in session.

Attendance at the 277 booth-show climbed to 2,673, reflecting a higho dealer-to-exhibitor ratio. Speakers in- cluded Lynn Michaelis, chief economist, Weyerhaeuser; Kip Howlett, v.p.-government affairs, GeorgiaPacific, and fonner baseball star Dave Dravecky.
