It's been a year since I started working at the BX, and it’s been amazing! My role is relatively new I work closely with members and manage data throughout their lifecycle I really appreciate the chance to grow and maintain a good work-life balance.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, especially science fiction and graphic novels. I love a good workout, long walks, and bike rides. Lately, I’ve been getting into coffee brewing and working on my latte art.
I started BX as a part-time job in college; I very quickly fell in love with the job and team atmosphere Now, almost 7 years later I’m still here and full-time!
There is something about scouting around for construction leads that feels like hunting for treasure and it’s always fun to strike gold! It’s an incredible experience to see projects through all their stages and be able to watch as our beautiful state continues to build and grow.

My time here at Builders Exchange has flown by! I’ve really enjoyed working with our team here for the past three years. We’re a small group so it really makes the work feel more rewarding, and I find that every day is a little different, which is great. Learning more about the construction industry has been so interesting and I love seeing what projects are being worked on state-wide!
I’ve been a voracious reader since I was a child, and outside of work it’s not uncommon to find me with a book in my hands I love to travel as well, this year I’ve been to the Upper Peninsula and the Bahamas/ Dominican Republic on a cruise! My friends and I spend a lot of time playing board games and you can find us at trivia every Thursday

Celebrating 150 Years at the Hermitage at Diamond
Since 2017, the restoration of the former church building at the Hermitage at Diamond has been a story of persistence, partnership, and a passion for preserving local history. Over the past eight years, the project team has worked through plenty of challenges, from tax law changes that reduced donations to a lightning strike that damaged the steeple in 2023
This year marks an exciting milestone: the property’s 150th birthday To celebrate, the team has set a goal to raise $150,000 by fall. These funds will help install the last two rose windows on the east and west sides of the building. Each window measures more than 10 feet across and is built from sixteen custom stained glass panels that took a full year to produce in the right colors
Once the windows are in place, the exterior restoration will be complete The work doesn’t stop there, though New gutters and downspouts are also part of this phase, along with continued improvements that will keep the building in good shape for years to come.
While the feasibility study suggests that launching a multimillion dollar campaign isn’t possible right now, the team is committed to moving forward with the projects they can support Just like the restoration of the Wealthy Theatre, which took 15 years to finish, this effort shows how steady progress can make a lasting impact.
If you’d like to learn more or find out how to get involved, stay tuned for updates as the Hermitage continues to take shape •
