GAME 3 Bloomsburg 20, IUP 16 September 15, 2011 BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg wide receiver Kyle Fisher caught five passes for 171 yards and a touchdown to help the Huskies to a 20-16 win over the Crimson Hawks of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. IUP received the opening kick-off and opened the game with a 71 yard drive. Indiana’s Brett Ullman capped the drive with a 26 yarder for a 3-0 lead. After a pair of run attempts resulting in two positive yards, Bloomsburg faced a third and long situation and Pat Carey delivered a 51 yard pass to Fisher for a first down. After three rushing attempts the Huskies were looking at fourth down. Dan Fisher came in to hit his first field goal of the night from 23 yards out. Indiana responded to the Bloomsburg score as Jerrell McFadden took the kick-off 90 yards to give IUP a 10-3 lead. Later in the quarter, Carey delivered a 42 yard touchdown pass to Ryan Dickerson to tie the game at 10. The Huskies put together a scoring drive on their second possession of the second half as Dan Fisher connected on a 27 yard field goal. On Indiana’s next possession, Bloomsburg put the pressure on as Justin Shirk recorded a sack and John Pettine broke up a pass attempt forcing a punt. The Huskies again went to the air on their next possession. The drive would conclude as Carey hit Fisher for a touchdown from seven yards out for a 20-10 lead. Indiana then put together an 85 yard drive ending with a one yard touchdown run on fourth down. After a missed PAT, the Huskies led 20-16. From there neither team was able to put together much offense. Indiana had their last chance for the win with 2:40 to go in the fourth quarter at their own 41. They would only get as far as the BU 47 before turning the ball over on downs. Fisher ended the game with a career high 171 yards on five catches. Carey went 9-18 for 235 yards and two touchdowns. The BU running came to a halt with just 76 yards on the ground. Defensively the Huskies were led by the trio of Jarrett Pidgeon, Justin Shirk, and Sean Clift. Pidgeon racked up 15 tackles, forced a fumble, and made an interception. Shirk totaled 13 tackles as well as 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery. Clift had 11 tackles. 66
