ASSISTANT COACHES
Chet Henicle
Defensive Secondary/Video Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator Chet Henicle starts his ninth season at Bloomsburg after previously coaching three years at Wingate (NC) University where he was the defensive backs coach along with recruiting coordinator and camp director. Prior to working at Wingate, Henicle spent four years at LenoirRhyne College (NC), two years as receivers coach and two years as the defensive backs coach. He started his college coaching career in 1996 at Bloomsburg where he was in charge of the receivers. He also spent one season at Waynesboro High School coaching the running backs and defensive backs. A 1995 Bloomsburg graduate, Henicle was an All-American in two sports. During his career he was recognized as the school’s Undergraduate and Senior Male Athlete of the Year. As a catcher and center fielder on the baseball team, Henicle was named team MVP twice along with garnering All-PSAC honors three times. As a sophomore, he was fifth in the nation in batting with a .456 average. He captained the Huskies 1995 squad to the only Division II World Series appearance in school history. He
is still the career record holder for doubles in a season and in a career. As a starting safety on the Bloomsburg football team, Henicle was named the team’s MVP and defensive MVP along with garnering All-Region and All-PSAC honors twice. As a junior he finished second in the nation in interceptions with eight. As a senior he was named an All-American and was chosen to play in the Snow Bowl, the top Division II all-star game in the country. Henicle was inducted into the BU Athletic Hall of Fame in the fall of 2009. At native of Waynesboro, Pa., Henicle and wife Jane Marie reside in Bloomsburg.
Jack Lydic
Quaterbacks/Receivers Jack Lydic begins his first season with the Huskies as the quarterbacks/ receivers coach after having served as the quarterbacks coach at Susquehanna and as the offensive coordinator for the new program at Misericordia University. Lydic graduated in 2005 (and 2006 with master's degree) and was a three-year starter for Bloomsburg. During his career the Huskies won four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division championships. As a senior team captain in 2005, Lydic led the Huskies to an undefeated regular season and a Division II playoffs appearance. He earned second-team all-PSAC honors in 2004 and 2005. He is currently ranked fourth on the all-time passing yards list at Bloomsburg 5,186 yards and is ninth in career touchdown passes with 31. 10

Following his playing days at Bloomsburg he went on to play quarterback for the Hamburg Blue Devils of the German Football League (GFL) and Budapest Cowboys of the Central European Football League and was a member of the offensive coaching staffs for both teams. He led the GFL with 31 touchdown passes while throwing for more than 2,700 yards in 2007. In 2008 Lydic was named the quarterbacks coach at Susquehanna University where he helped the Crusaders to a conference championship in 2009 and was part of the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year. In 2011 he was named as the offensive coordinator at Misericordia University which will play its first-ever game this September.
