Matt Daley Relieves a Yankee Legend Matt Daley, a 2004 Bucknell graduate and a former member of the Bison baseball program, made his return to Major League Baseball in September 2013 when he pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the New York Yankees against the Boston Red Sox. Later in the month he relieved Yankee legend Mariano Rivera in the future Hall of Famer’s last career appearance at Yankee Stadium. Daley split 2014 between AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and New York. He is 2-3 with a 4.47 ERA in 112 career MLB outings with the Colorado Rockies and the Yankees.
