PATRIOT LEAGUE SCHOLAR-ATHLETES Consistent with its commitment to academics and athletics, the Patriot League each year recognizes one athletics outstanding student-athlete in each of the 23 league sponsored sports, honoring that student with the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete Award. Candidates must be a starter or signiﬁcant reserve, and must possess a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.2 or higher. In the 19-year history of the award in football, Bucknell has won six times, including two-time winners Bu David “Whitey” Berardinelli and Rob Glus.
