Profile of Evil Alexa Grace

Grace uses good transitions and the characters’ conversations sparkle and move the plot forward. Minor characters such as Cameron Chase engage in as much dialogue as the principal characters, building a realistic portrayal of human relationships.

Romantic Suspense

Profile of Evil depicts hard situations of child molestation and murder with effective imagery. The descriptions fill in a bit too much without action. Grace is overly wordy in lengthy expositions. Settings are arranged carefully for crime scenes, but Grace does not definitively describe locations such as Shawnee County or Carly’s hometown in Florida.

Leaving the FBI, Carly Stone becomes a consultant for Indiana County Sheriff Brody Chase, who needs her profiling skills to catch an online sex predator luring preteen girls to their death in his community. A life hangs in the balance and time is running out. REVIEW: Profile of Evil is a fast paced, action packed romance novel. The novel flows well and is easy to read. The main characters Brody Chase and Carly Stone are reminiscent of television’s best romantic detectives with sexual tension and dedication to the job.

Questions posed to the reader interspersed in the narrative detract from readers’ decisions about the story by forcing attention on the author’s further answers. Most of Profile of Evil is straightforward and Grace could have let action speak for itself. Alexa Grace’s Profile of Evil is an enjoyable romance, not boring or cliché. | Reviewer: Kimberly Klemm |

SHATTERED The only thing that multi-published, award winning horror author, Tom Elliot, wanted was to move to the country for a change of scenery and relaxation, to a quiet part of southern Illinois. It seemed he’d picked out a wonderful spot, miles away from the closest neighbor and even further away from civilization.
