The University’s dedicated Security Team provide a comprehensive security service both at Newton Park Campus and Bankside House 24 hours a day 7 days per week. You will find them in the Security Lodge as you come in through the main drive of the Newton Park Campus. They are available and ready to assist if students are concerned at any time regarding their safety and wellbeing. Should you have any cause for concern and require assistance, please contact them immediately day or night on 01225 875555.
Resident Tutors
On Newton Park campus there are three Resident Tutors (and one at Bankside House) who live close to and are associated with Halls of Residence. The Resident Tutors have a range of responsibilities including: • Advising students on residential matters in emergencies and mediating in conflicts or difficulties in the residences. • Acting as a contact with; Maintenance, Security, Police, Fire, Medical Services etc. • Communication between students and other University staff in matters concerning the residences e.g. Student Housing Services, Domestic Services, and Student Support Services.
You can find the Resident Tutors at Newton Park in Temple House, opposite the Security Lodge and in Flat 1 at Bankside House. Resident Tutors will be on duty (on a rota system) between 19:00 and midnight Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday they will be available between 14:00 to 15:00 (15:30 – 16:30 Bankside House) and 21:00 to midnight.
