the gold! Julie Vergoosen had an excellent start pulling away from the crowd, followed by Syazmin Shahasir building up speed in the 2nd leg, then Sara Graeber took the lead in the third leg around
the bend and Morgann de Jong powered down the finish to win the race! Overall, the BSN achieved 2nd in athletics out of 27 schools! A fantastic achievement!
Day 3 Football The boys played six outstanding games to win their group and move onto the quarter finals. They comfortably beat Dubai College 4-0 to move to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, the flamboyancy and skill of the Spanish team outdid us and the boys placed a respectable 4th out of 27 teams! The girls had a rough start to the day and came 5th in their pool. However, they pulled it back, displaying their sheer determination and won the remainder of their games in the round robin tournament. All the COBIS Games students should be incredibly proud of their achievements. The commitment and hard work the students have shown over the last seven months sets them apart as outstanding athletes. The students have had a fantastic trip and made life long memories. The team bond and spirit between the students throughout the games was inspiring. The team placed an impressive 6th overall out of 27 schools – a fantastic result!
