runk Auctions is proud to offer selections from an Important Virginia Living Estate. Represented here are examples from an extraordinary collecting history that spanned 51 years and countless periods, countries, and cultures. From a sixteenth century Flemish masterpiece by Marten de Vos to a Belle Époque gouache by Gallien-Laloue, and a classic New York City scene by Guy Wiggins, these collectors bought only what they truly loved. With an eye for quality and no didactic constraints, they gathered a very personal collection that both represented, enriched, and expanded their world.

Both husband and wife have also enriched the cultural and civic communities around them in innumerable and lasting ways. Active in many capacities at the Chrysler Museum, The Virginia Beach Commission For the Arts, The Virginia Opera, and the SPCA, among other organizations, they also extended their good will and hospitality to their community at their home. We are very pleased to present some of this remarkable collection here at Brunk Auctions today.
