Mike Dickson, Head Coach Mike Dickson enters his fifth season at the helm of the roadrunner baseball program. In his first three seasons, Coach Dickson posted a record of 156 wins and 43 losses and has won 78 percent of the games he has coached at GCC. Dickson has been was named Region 19 Coach of The Year two times. During Dickson’s tenure, the Roadrunners have participated in two of the last four National Championship Games. In four seasons, thirty-two of his players have signed scholarships and eight professional contracts. Dickson came to GCC following coaching stints at the University of Pennsylvania and Rowan University. While at Rowan, Dickson helped guide the Profs to a 138–42 record, two straight trips to the NCAA World Series and two New Jersey Athletic Conference championships (NJAC) in 2002 and 2003. Coach Dickson began his coaching career at his high school alma mater Gloucester Catholic High School (GCHS) where he was an Assistant Varsity Coach and Head Junior Varsity Coach. The 2001 GCHS team won the prestigious Diamond Classic and the New Jersey State Baseball Championship. The talented team capped off a great year by winning the American Legion World Series during the summer. Dickson graduated from Rowan University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in health and exercise science. While attending Rowan, Dickson was a three time All Conference player and set several offensive records set several offensive records. He was named Second Team All-American, New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Mid-Atlantic Region Player of the Year in 1999. Dickson earned his master’s degree from Rowan University in Higher Education Administration. Academically Dickson was awarded the Medallion for academic excellence in the Higher Education Administration Program and is now a full-time member of the HPER Department at GCC.
