Well, I am hoping by this time we have all had a great time at the Horse Races and Community Breakfasts.

We are beginning to have other activities throughout the month, so come check us out.

We meet on the last Wednesday of each month in the Clubhouse at 3:00 pm.

From all of us on the Beautification Committee, “Thank you to everyone who came out to support us at our March Fundraiser Luncheon/Card Party.” We would like to thank all of the local businesses for their generosity in donating gift certificates, etc., for the silent auction. We would also like to thank Carole Tobey for her hard work in planning the event and collecting so many donations. This annual fundraiser is our largest source of funding that enables us to continue our beautification efforts on Brookridge Central and Brookridge Boulevard.

Hopefully you have noticed the new cactuses at the intersection of Brookridge Central and the Boulevard, the lantana around the fountain, the pansies at the clubhouse, and new flowers on the Boulevard. We hope to get the fountain in front of the guard shack painted and running again soon. And, of course, lots of mulching going on.

As always, please watch out for us when you see us working in the medians. Slow down, and move over when possible.

We always welcome new volunteers, especially those who have a love for gardening, knowledge of Florida plants and landscaping, or those who would just like something more to do. If you have any questions or suggestions, please call Jim Snyder, Chairman, at 352-596-1804. Monthly meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m., at the Clubhouse.

Monetary Donations can be made by check payable to BCPO with “Beautification Committee” noted in the memo section of the check and deliver it to the Administration Office, or give it to any of the members of the committee.
