BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2023

Call to Order: Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 7:02 p.m. Out of respect, please silence all phones & remove hats, moment of Silence & Pledge of Allegiance

Proof of Notice: The agenda was posted on the Brookridge website, at the Administration office, the Clubhouse, and emailed to residents on February 17, 2023. - PROOF OF NOTICE ESTABLISHED

Proof of Quorum: President Anna Webster, 1st Vice President Duncan, Treasurer Basteri, Secretary Metcalf were present. Director Benoit was excused. - PROOF OF QUORUM ESTABLISHED.

Also Present: General Manger Carol Webster, Facilities Manager Mike Green, and Recording Secretary, Arlene Ahrens. Sign in sheet shows 75 members present.

Taping Notice: Member video/audio taping meeting: 0

Approval of Minutes: Board of Directors meeting from January 18, 2023 – minutes stand as submitted.

Board Correspondence: Request from Brookridge Social Dance. Motion by Metcalf, seconded by Basteri to allow Social Dance to have an additional dance on Saturday, January 20, 2024, open to residents and public, to use the North, Middle and South Halls and Kitchen from 9 am to 10:30 pm for set up and dance. Also, Sunday, January 21, North, Middle and South halls from 10:30 am to 12 noon to take down decorations and adjust monitors schedule so no overtime is accrued. Vote taken (4-0) – All in favor.

Request from Sandy Lewis – Water Aerobics Class – Motion by Metcalf, seconded by Duncan to change the start time for Water Aerobics Class from 8:15 am to 9:00 am. Discussions followed and it was determined that more information is needed. 1st Vice President Duncan then rescinded his motion. Vote taken (4-0) – All in favor of rescinding. Mike Green – Facilities Manager will look into this further.

President's Report: A. Webster – thank you all for coming to the meeting. In reference to the questions asked by Mary Astore regarding the May 2022 Profit and Loss reports. More research is needed. Anna had requested Quick Books on her computer and was told in February it can be done. Unfortunately, that is too late. There are new signs being put up on Brookridge Blvd. Residents should slow down. Please adhere to the road signs. The Traffic Safety Committee will begin meeting soon, they will be doing research and at no cost to Brookridge.

Treasurers Report: December 2022 – Treasurer Basteri. Robin Napier – Unit 3 – question about the amount paid to Landmark Pools.

General Managers Report: C. Webster – Greg Wagner has been promoted to Code Enforcement Lieutenant. Lee Katz has accepted the position for Code Enforcement Officer. Carol and Patrona are working on the volunteer breakfast. Please set up your account with Gate Sentry, it will save time at the gate. Guards are not Law Enforcement Officers. The Guards are fully trained on Gate Sentry.

Unfinished Business: 1st Vice President Ken Duncan rescinded motion from February 7, 2023, regarding ACC application and revision sheet. Seconded by Metcalf to rescind previous motion. Vote taken all in favor (4-0) Motion by Duncan, seconded by Metcalf to permanently included the ACC application and revisions in the ACC book that is given to the committee members. Vote taken all in favor (4-0).
