BCPO by-laws state the president shall preside over all meetings, Jerry Foster as President shall chair the meeting.
Call to Order: Chairperson, Jerry Foster called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm Out of respect, please turn off all phones & remove hats / Moment of Silence & Pledge of Allegiance
Establish Quorum: According to Article X, Section 3 of the Bylaws approved April 18, 2007, the members present at an Annual or Special meeting shall constitute a quorum, regardless of the number present. Present were GM Webster, Captain Greg Schubert, Recording Secretary Arlene Ahrens, Attorney Steve Mezer, 91 names on the sign in sheets.
Proof of Notice of Meeting: Interim Secretary Basteri read the notice that on January 6, 2022, an Annual Package, including the Notice of the Annual Membership meeting, was mailed to every member who was on the Association's roster of property owners as of 12/31/2021. Proof of Notice Affidavit has been received.
Approval of Minutes: Minutes of the March 18, 2020, Annual Meeting were approved at the April 21, 2021, Board of Director's meeting.

Annual Report of Officers: President Jerry Foster: Verbal recap of previous years' events. Interim Treasurer Metcalf: Verbal recap of previous years' expenses.

Election Results: Board of Directors and Induction: Chairman Jerry Foster announced results.
Ken Duncan received 451 votes, Leo Benoit received 376 votes, Anna Webster received 444 votes.
A total of 1717 Votes were cast. A total of 31 Voids were submitted with no addresses on them to be recorded. Swearing in of newly elected Directors Duncan, Benoit, and Webster, was conducted by Jerry Foster, Chairman. After the swearing in was conducted, Chairman Foster read: Pursuant to Florida Statutes 720.306, 9(a), we will now accept nominations from the floor to fill the one open seat on the Board of Directors (created by Larry Hoose's resignation). Do we have any nominations? Jon Shephard – Unit 6 - nominated Tom Churchill. George Clair - Unit 4 nominated himself. Vince Pizzo – Unit 3 nominated Larry Hansen. Paul Campbell - Unit 2, nominated himself. Chairman Foster continued: Nominees may pick up a nomination form from Arlene after the meeting or at the Admin. Office. That does not end our search for a director. Anyone who is interested in serving on the Board of Director's may pick up a self-nomination form at the Admin. office. The deadline to submit a nomination form is April 1. Pursuant to Article V, Section 9, of our Bylaws, the vacancy will be filled at a regularly scheduled Board of Director's meeting.
Member Comments: Larry Miller – Unit 2 – had questions regarding the audit, was there money "left over" in 2021? He also asked about the new computers. Lynn Southwick – Unit 4 – She lives by integrity and honesty and expects the board to do the same. Ron Ross – Unit 6 – New leader of F.I.S.H. is Joanne Burns. He also was inquiring about the amount of money that was taken in for the News & Views advertising. Gail Metcalf – Unit 6 – next year is 50th birthday of Brookridge. She would like to get a few people together and bring Brookridge back to a sense of community. Marge Roloff – Unit 4 – the money that was "left over" from 2021 – does it go into 2022? Joann Burns Unit 3 – thank you to all who support F.I.SH., she will also be serving a hot meal twice a month to those who need it. Pamela McMaugh – Unit 4 – she has been here since July; people are terrible with the comments. She also wanted to know why parking on Brookridge Blvd is allowed, it is extremely dangerous. Vince Pizzo – Unit 3 – his family has been here since 1978. We need to vote with our hearts, should have the best interest of Brookridge at heart, we are all one. Rosemary Basteri – Unit 4 – Musicaires is having a concert on March 20 from 3-5 pm at the clubhouse. It is a free will offering, they have been working extremely hard. Vivian Blair – Unit 4 – Thank you to Vince and all of his employees, they are all doing an excellent job. Donna Smetko – Unit 2 – we all need to work together, do not air your laundry on social media or at the pool. Motion by Vince Pizzo, Unit 3, seconded by Gail Metcalf, Unit 6 to adjourn. Members had no objections. Motion carried.

Nomination/Election of Officers: by Steve Mezer – Attorney for Brookridge
President: Motion by Jerry Foster seconded by Gail Metcalf to nominate Anna Webster as President. Motion by Rosemary Basteri to nominate Gail Metcalf. Gail Metcalf declined this nomination. Nominations closed. Anna Webster was elected President.
1st Vice President: Motion by Anna Webster to nominate Ken Duncan as 1st Vice President. Nominations closed. Ken Duncan was elected 1st Vice President.
2nd Vice President: Motion by Anna Webster to nominate Jerry Foster as 2nd Vice President. Nominations closed. Jerry Foster was elected 2nd Vice President.
Secretary: Motion by Leo Benoit to nominate Gail Metcalf as Secretary. Nominations closed. Gail Metcalf was nominated Secretary.
Treasurer: Motion by Gail Metcalf, to nominate Rosemary Basteri as Treasurer. Motion by Leo Benoit to nominate himself as Treasurer. Nominations closed. Vote was taken – 1 director voted for Rosemary Basteri. 4 directors voted for Leo Benoit as Treasurer. Leo Benoit was nominated Treasurer. Motion by Gail Metcalf, seconded by Ken Duncan to adjourn Organizational Meeting. Motion carried unanimously (6-0)
